We are aware that many people do leave a lot of garbage behind. The costs of garbage disposal have grown dramatically over the last few years. One more reason to ask you for your kind help to address this situation.
We will provide garbage bags when entering the site. We have taken your criticism to heart and will make garbage bags available at the shower stations from now on, so in the future you will only have to walk a few meters when the garbage bags handed out at the entrance are full. We hope this will have a positive effect on the garbage situation on the campsite, which in the last few years was somewhere between horrible and catastrophic...
Thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding. Since in the last few years some people have brought enough furniture to fill an entire living room, and disposing of one piece of furniture is more expensive than the price of two to three tickets, we will have security guards checking the camping grounds and taking pictures. So those who bring furniture and leave it behind will be charged an additional fee for waste disposal and each case will be taken to court.
Please also make sure you keep your camping space tidy during your entire stay in your own interest.
Please make sure you do not leave any metal items such as tent pegs in the ground, as this presents a serious problem for us.
If you plan on taking a generator with you onto the site, please make sure it is in good working condition and that it is not leaking oil or fuel. A maximum of 20 litres of fuel in an appropriate canister are allowed per vehicle. We trust you will handle this matter in an appropriate way and that it needs no further explanation or discussion. From 1 a.m., all aggregates need to be turned off for nighttime peace.
Unfortunately the choice of gluten-free products in our supermarket and at the food stands is very limited. Therefore we recommend you add gluten-free bread etc. to your camping provisions. Some of the food stands offer the choice of having their dishes “breadless” in order to avoid gluten.
From Wednesday on, there will be an official Infopoint on the festival site. It will be open daily until 01:00am. If any changes should occur during the festival, we will announce them there immediately. Also, should you have any problems, questions, criticism, complaints and so on, you can approach our staff there for them to forward your concerns to us. Please also go to the Infopoint should you lose or find anything.
LOST AND FOUND
In case you find lost property, please bring it to the info point. If you have lost something, please get in touch with our staff at the info point, too.
From 1:00am on Sunday morning – when the info point is closed – found items will be kept at the box office area on Black Earth (car inspection area) and may be collected from there. Uncollected items will be transferred to the official lost and found office in Dinkelsbühl during the week after the festival.
There will be refrigerators in the Malteser Emergency Service's stations, where you can store your medicines during the festival days.
There is a first-aid centre right next to the entrance to the concert area and there are three more emergency stations on the campsite which are manned 24 hours a day.
In case of emergency during the festival please call the following number: 0700 - MALTESER (07 00 - 62 58 37 37).
Should there be any changes we will announce them right here.
There are two big merchandise stands at the concert area: one for the official festival merch and another for the band merchandise of almost all of the bands appearing at the festival. Both stands will be open from Wednesday on. On Tuesday there will be a merch station on the campsite for all those arriving early. It will be located next to the campsite circus tent. Only the main festival design will be sold here.
We do understand those who wish to party at their tents, and music is a part of it. Only some people unfortunately keep overdoing this. A regular car hi-fi should be enough to listen to music at a decent volume without disturbing your neighbours. Once again we want to remind you of the nighttime peace, which we kindly ask you to observe.
Once again, our trading mile will offer you a large selection of CDs, textiles, jewelry and much more this year.
Residents of Dinkelsbühl, Wittelshofen and Wilburgstetten of over 45 years of age get free admission to SUMMER BREEZE (Ü45). The stamp can be obtained at the guest list booth in Sinbronn, as well as the box office in Illenschwang. Please don’t forget to bring you ID!
Rivets, drinking horns and the likes do belong on a metal festival, no doubt about that. We do not want to prohibit these items and we do trust your sensible use of them. Only self-made rivets or ornaments (with nails, barbed wire, etc.) and everything that increases the risk of accidents or may be misused as a weapon may not be brough onto the site. Vuvuzelas, which have reached an arguable popularity since the beginning of the 2010 Football World Cup, are prohibited on the entire festival site (concert area and camp site).
In order to park a motor vehicle on the campsite, a parking ticket must be purchased per vehicle. This ticket is only sold on site. The price for a parking ticket is € 10.- per vehicle.
There is also a charge to park on a separate day parking lot. Further information about the day parking lo can be found here.
The above applies to all motor vehicles with an internal combustion engine (i.e. cars, motorcycles, caravans, etc.).
Those arriving on Tuesday must pay an extra 10 Euro contribution towards logistical costs per person.
The Bavarian police will be there to serve and protect you. Don't panic, they are really nice people and willing to help wherever possible. However, they will be testing for drug and alcohol abuse as usual. For that reason, but also for your own safety, please make sure your driver stays sober. We will not clear the daily parking lot so you may stay there overnight. The police controls on Sunday will definitely happen, be forewarned!
Furthermore, the police considers the whole festival ground, including concert area, campsite and parking area, as public roads. Please keep this in mind when driving on the festival site (no drugs/alcohol, only registered cars, mandatory use of helmets for bikers, MOT, etc.) and behave as if you were driving on an open street. The police will be there to enforce traffic laws.
This year we will obviously offer our popular SUMMER BREEZE programme brochure on site for a contribution towards expenses of just 1.- Euro. In it you will find all information about the festival, as well as all the bands. Furthermore, of course, the running order, the site map and a raffle with prizes worth several thousand Euros. It is also perfect to get it signed by the bands during their signing sessions.
You can purchase the programme brochure at the following locations:
- from Tuesday to Saturday on Black Earth at the parking ticket sellers' and at the wristband punches
- from Tuesday to Saturday at all the pedestrian entrances and the daily box office
- from Tuesday to Saturday at all three supermarkets on thew campsite
- on Tuesday at the merch container next to the campsite circus tent
- from Wednesday to Saturday at all official merch stands on the infield
- from Wednesday to Saturday at the official band merch stand on the infield
- from Wednesday to Saturday at the info point on the infield
- from Tuesday to Saturday at the VIP check-in
The following items are prohibited on the entire campground and festival site and will be confiscated by security:
- baseball bats, slingshots, knuckle dusters, CS gas, pepper spray and weapons of any kind
- dry ice
- water pistols, paddling pools
- noise generating items such as air horns, megaphones, PA systems, mixing desks, amplifiers, electric guitars, drum kits, drums, trumpets and similar items (e.g. signal horns used on trains)
- axes, knives with a blade over 10cm long, carpet cutters, chainsaws, spades (incl folding spades) and any other dangerous tools (sledge hammers, claw hammers, etc.)
- pyrotechnic items, flares, explosives, ammunition, material for expeditions, safety kits with pyrotechnic items and pyrotechnic material in general
- oil lamps, flammable fluids and torches
These items will be confiscated and discarded. You can learn more about the procedure under “CONFISCATED ITEMS”. We reserve the right to report illegal items to the police.
Racism will not be tolerated! Hereby we once again would like to state we are strictly against any form of right-wing philosophy or racism. We also count on your help: if you come across anything, please inform us immediately! Either approach security or go to the info point on site.
RETURNABLE BOTTLES AND CANS
This year we are again collaborating with the Aalen-based NGO Govinda Entwicklungshilfe e.V. Please support them by putting your empty returnable bottles and cans into the bins they place on the festival site. This way each of you can decide how much you wish to support Govinda.
Govinda volunteers will also be out collecting empty returnables. They will be wearing coloured Govinda shirts and an identification. Should anyone identify themselves as returnables collector or collect returnables unasked, please inform the staff at the Govinda info stand near the entrance to the festival site or at the sorting station close to the security camp. There you can also donate your returnables or just stop by for a chat.
Unauthorized collection of returnables is not permitted on the festival site!
The running order with all the bands' exact stage times is available under “Bands 2016”.
SAVING CAMPING SPACE
Since the saving of camping space has worked pretty well so far, with very few exceptions, we will keep the system and offer it from Tuesday already. This way we give you the chance to save space for your friends arriving later on a special part of the campsite. This will be to the right when entering the site from Black Earth, behind the forest, and there will be noticeably more room for this purpose.
However, the surface is obviously limited, which means you won't be able to save the space forever, as when the room starts to run out we will be forced to start “filling the holes”.
So if you are arriving on Tuesday or Wednesday with various vehicles at different times or if your group gets split at the entrance, you can meet again behind the forest, to the right from Black Earth.
In this case you have to download the “saving space” sheet for your car HERE and place it at a viible spot behind your windscreen (the original A4 format is ideal, because it's the most visible, but if you print it out smaller or larger it is valid, too). This way the parking stewards on the campsite will know where they have to send you:
- White sheet with a big F for “Freihalten von Campingflächen” (saving camping space) = drive to the area reserved for this purpose on the right side of the campsite, behind the forest.
Please follow the instructions of our personnel, so the filling of the saved space hopefully works quickly and without problems.
Ideally you should always keep right with your group when arriving (even before the security corridors); try to use the corridors on the right as well, and stay right when driving onto the campsite. (Our tip: Meet at a parking on the Autobahn before the exit to Dinkelsbühl and then drive together as far as possible.)
Additional advice for drivers of large vehicles (e.g. mobile homes) or cars with trailers (including caravans):
Please also try to keep right, as the corridors on the far right are wider and will be easier for you to pass through.
Motorcyclists are also asked to use the corridors on the right, as they are closer to the motorcycle parking lot.
SECURITY / CREW
Please be nice to these boys and girls! Treat them the way you would like them to treat you. Keep in mind theirs is quite a stressful job.
Our securities will be wearing numbers so they can be easily identified. In case you do not feel treated appropriately by security, please inform our staff at the ticket counters or at the info point immediately, providing the respective security’s number. We will then take further steps to solve the problem. However, generally speaking, the securities' instructions have to be observed and followed without question. The reason is simple: it ensures a smooth festival flow that saves us all a lot of time and hassle.
SECURITY MEASURE YELLOW CARD
Despite all the fun and party, some people have a hard time adhering to the rules at SUMMER BREEZE. In the interest of your own safety, this year we will introduce the YELLOW CARD, in order to issue a warning to those who put themselves or others in danger, cause damage to property or misbehave in any other way.
Upon any misconduct, our security personnel will issue a polite verbal warning first, but may follow it up with a YELLOW CARD. In this case, the festival bracelet will be removed from the wrist of the person under warning and replaced with a yellow bracelet for 24 hours. This means the person under warning will have no access to the concert area for 24 hours, but may stay on the campsite. After 24 hours the yellow bracelet may be exchanged for a regular festival bracelet at the security office, and access to the concert area will be granted again.
When the security personnel remove a bracelet, our team will receive a message with the name of the person under warning, along with the reason and time of their wrongdoing, so you don't have to be afraid of any arbitrariness.
However, we reserve the right to pull the RED CARD immediately and issue an expulsion upon grave misconduct.
There are several shower stations on the campsite. For each shower, we must charge € 2.50 to cover the costs at least partially. For those wanting to use water toilets: you can do so for a fee of € 1.-. However, this year we are offering a shower and WC flatrate, available for 12.- Euros at all shower stations. The two main shower stations will be open non-stop from Tuesday at 12:00 until Sunday at 12:00. The other three shower stations open on Wednesday at 12:00 and will also be open non-stop until Sunday at 12:00. This means the number of shower stations will go up to five this year, which should noticeably reduce the waiting time and make the whole process easier. Furthermore, there will be various free water stations where you can fetch fresh water for cooking and washing. Please make sure you don’t waste any water!
Almost all bands will be holding signing sessions at our partner’s booths of METAL.DE and METAL HAMMER. Please note the scheduled times posted there and make sure you don’t miss this unique chance.
As in previous years, there will be two open air stages, Main Stage and Pain Stage. All bands will alternate with no overlapping, so you just need to turn or move a bit to see the next band play. A video screen will be in place again right between these two stages. Proceedings already start on Wednesday on the T Stage and the Camel Stage. There will be an LED stage outside the tent again. From Tuesday to Saturday there will be a side show on the new camspite stage close to the festival entrance.
Anything you might need to survive this festival weekend can be found in our supermarkets, which are marked on the site map, for reasonable prices. Next to both supermarkets you will find Goldkorn breakfast tents, where you can also charge your mobile phones for free.
Big supermarket in the barn: Open permanently from Tuesday 10:00 to Sunday 10:00.
The other supermarkets will be open daily starting Wednesday from 07:30 to 01:00.
For those of you wishing to take a taxi, there will again be a taxi rank. It will be located opposite the security corridors on Black Earth. Please do only take those taxis or wait there until one arrives. Please ignore the taxis on the road as they don't observe the rules, disrupting the traffic and putting your security at risk. The drivers who use the taxi rank on Black Earth and observe the rules should be rewarded for it.
Unfortunately our festival – like most big events – is not immune to pickpockets and thieves. Most of the times it is organised gangs trying to pick your wallets in the crowd in front of the stages. Therefore please make sure your wallets as well as any other belongings are kept safe. Furthermore, please do not leave any valuables or car keys in your tent and make sure to keep your cars and tents locked when leaving. Please also be careful at night, because the thieves are getting more and more audacious. At other festivals they have robbed people by cutting their tents open while they slept. Please don't hesitate to contact our friendly security personnel in case you see suspicious activity!
TICKET COUNTER / DAILY TICKETS
Each day there's going to be a limited number of one-day tickets available for at the festival box office exclusively, valid only for the same day. The price is 60€.
The festival box office opens at 10:00 every day and is open all day. The day parking lot is just opposite the entrance to the camp site and is signposted. Parking is not included in the ticket price. Camping is not allowed for one-day ticket holders. There are no one-day tickets available for Wednesday. This is a special bonus for 3-day ticket buyers only.
Let the party begin! We look forward to seeing you in Dinkelsbühl!
TOILETS / WATER SUPPLY
Always a bit of a problem, but a festival like this is no walk in the park. In the last few years the water supply system has been completely renewed and overhauled. There are now several water stations, which are all marked on the site map. Furthermore and besides the portable toilets, there will also be paid flushable toilets in the concert area, as well as a free water station to wash your hands. This year we are offering a shower and WC flatrate, available for 12.- Euros at all shower stations. More information under SHOWERS.
Please do not drop entire toilet paper rolls into the flushable toilets. It is quite obvious why!
In order to guarantee the proper use of the water we have available, we have to ban inflatable pools. The volume of water required to fill them would collapse our water lines. Water pistols are prohibited too. Unfortunately we discovered that some people were filling them with body fluids. Those who wish to be sprayed with their own or others' urine are welcome to do so, but not at our festival. It's bad enough that we actually need to mention this.
It is prohibited to trade in any kind of goods.
The closest stations are Ellwangen, Ansbach, Crailsheim, Dombuehl, Noerdlingen and Ulm. Arriving there, you can easily catch a bus to Dinkelsbuehl. For detailed train information please check: http://www.bahn.de.
There are SUMMER BREEZE buses going from the main train stations in Stuttgart and Nuremberg and Stuttgart as well as Nuremberg airports directly to the festival site. Timetables and booking information can be find on www.mondialevents.de.
VEGETARIAN / VEGAN
There is a large variety of vegetarian and/or vegan food at the festival and campsite. There are several recommended vegetarian/vegan food stands both at the main stages and at the T Square. In addition to the stands there is also the possibility to order vegetarian and/or vegan food at the other stands, for example Asian, pizza, local vegetarian specialities, Dutch fries, etc. In the big supermarket at the barn there are vegan products available, such as soymilk, vegan cold cuts, etc. Fresh fruit is also available there. Just ask at the supermarket...
VIDEO AND AUDIO RECORDING
By entering the festival site, all attendees agree to be filmed or recorded and that this material may be published at a later time.
The VIP ticket container is located outside the festival site at the football field in Sinbronn, opposite the petrol station. All accreditations, guest lists and passes for bands, traders, members of staff, etc. have to be picked up from here. Those persons accompanying our disabled friends will also receive their free ticket there upon presentation of the handicapped ID of the person they are accompanying.
Opening hours of accreditation / VIP container:
|Tue||10:00 AM - 22:00 PM|
|Wed||08:00 AM - 22:00 PM|
|Thu||08:00 AM - 22:00 PM|
|Fri||10:00 AM - 22:00 PM|
|Sat||10:00 AM - 22:00 PM|
WEAPONS / VIOLENCE
Up until now, SUMMER BREEZE has not experienced any violence – and we would like it to stay that way. Anyone looking for trouble or damaging property, inside the fencing or beyond, will be kicked out! Please have the courage to interfere or inform security if someone starts trouble or harasses women.
Weapons are prohibited on the entire festival site! There should be no need to explain why. The list of prohibited items can be found under PROHIBITED ITEMS.
This festival ABC is constantly being updated according to the ever changing circumstances and situations we keep facing. Therefore no responsibility is taken for the correctness of this information. Please check back regularly at www.summer-breeze.de - especially for a final update before your departure to the festival.
