LONG DISTANCE CALLING sind ein neuer, ganz hell leuchtender Stern am Himmel des Post Rock und ein sehr appetitlicher Happen für alle, die es gerne anspruchsvoll, atmosphärisch, ambient-angehaucht und ein wenig progressiv zugleich möchten. In ihren meist rein instrumental vorgetragenen und überlangen Stücken nimmt die Formation aus Mannheim, Münster und Dortmund den Hörer mit auf spannende Reisen und an verborgene Orte, die andere Bands nie erforschen geschweige denn finden werden. Vergleiche anzubringen fällt im Falle LONG DISTANCE CALLING äußerst schwer. Am ehesten decken wohl Tool und A Perfect Circle die Ränder ihres atemberaubenden Spektrums ab. In their long compositions, which are often kept purely instrumental, the band from Mannheim, Münster and Dortmund take the listener on a trip to hidden places that other bands will never explore or even find. It is extremely hard to compare LONG DISTANCE CALLING to any other band out there. If anything, it is probably Tool and A Perfect Circle who come closest to the breathtaking spectrum of their music. Your jaws will have dropped to the floor by the end of their gig, no doubt about that!

Il est extrêmement dur de comparer LONG DISTANCE CALLING à tout autre groupe. C’est probablement Tool et A Perfect Circle qui sont le plus proche du spectre stupéfiant de leur musique. Al limite, sono probabilmente i Tool o gli A Perfect Circle che si avvicinano all’incredibile varietà della loro musica.
