Obwohl MACABRE aus Chicago im musikalischen Sinne nie wirklich dem Death Metal zuzurechnen waren, gelten sie als eine der Pioniere auf dem Gebiet Grindcore. Dies liegt vor allem daran, dass sie mit Vorliebe Texte über Serienkiller oder Massenmörder mit krankem Humor und viel Gore würzten. Ein weiteres Zeichen für die Einmaligkeit dieser Truppe ist die Tatsache, dass sie seit ihrer Bandgründung 1985 keinen einzigen Besetzungswechsel zu verzeichnen hatten. Alle Originalmitglieder sind MACABRE erhalten geblieben. Sie selbst bezeichnen ihren Stil als Murder Metal, analog um Titel ihres letzten Studioalbums aus dem Jahre 2003.  MACABRE from Chicago musically have never really matched the Death Metal genre though they are said to be one of the pioneers of Grindcore. This is mainly as they love to spice up their lyrics about serial killers and mass murderers with a sick sense of humour and a good portion of Gore. Another reason which makes them some kind of special is the fact their line up has not changed at all since their foundation in 1985. All original members keep sticking together. According to their last studio work from 2003 they describe their style as Murder Metal. We would like you to show respect and welcome this seldom guest to the SUMMER BREEZE for the 2nd time after 2005. One of the weirdest highlights for this year!


 MACABRE vient de Chicage et ne se sont, musicalement parlant, jamais vraiment rattaché au genre Death Metal, bien qu’ils soient l’un des pionniers du grindcore. Questo è dovuto principalmente al fatto che amano arricchire i propri testi che parlano di serial killer e omicidi di massa con un senso dell’umorismo malato e una buona porzione di Gore. Un’altra ragione che li rende speciali è il fatto che la loro line-up non è cambiata per niente dalla loro nascita nel 1985. Tutti i membri originali continuano a suonare insieme.
