Apart from a few other bands that can be counted on the fingers of one hand, MORGOTH were the only German death metal outfit to gain international success in the 90s. However, their third, more controlled album ‘Feel Sorry For The Fanatic’ (1996) divided their fanbase, which eventually led to the band’s split in 1998. Only in 2010 MORGOTH reunited to play a few shows celebrating the 20th anniversary of their debut album ‘Cursed’ the following year. But this comeback already lasts until 2012, because again the band led by frontman Marc Grewe will remain active on the live front, and we’ve been able to book this true legend of the German metal scene for their first show at SUMMER BREEZE. Please give them a warm welcome and join us in hoping there will also be a new album soon!
