MUNICIPAL WASTE would have felt totally at home in the eghties. Crossover thrash bands such as Anthrax and S.O.D. were enjoying great success, and the scene was booming. However, when this Virginia quartet began their career, thrash was virtually dead. Fitting their alcohol-fueled party attitude, the band led by mainman Ryan Waste has breathed new life into a moribund genre and, along with a few other up-and-coming thrashers, kick-started a massive retro thrash wave. An early highlight in their career was surely signing a deal with label giant Nuclear Blast, who will release the band’s new album ‘The Fatal Feast’ this year. And these crazy thrashers will tear the Party Tent to shreds as part of the Nuclear Blast Label Night. Get wasted!
