Those who like a little prog in between their brutal shouts, modern sounds and heavy beatdowns should definitely check out VITJA.
The Münster-based band is apt for fans of Any Given Day, Breakdown Of Sanity and Emmure as much as for followers of the weird guitar acrobatics of technical wizards such as The Dillinger Escape Plan, War From A Harlots Mouth, Tesseract and Meshuggah. It is quite amazing how this young band manages to garnish their potent core eruptions with highly demanding technical excursions on the one hand and atmospheric sound collages on the other. Which means that the progressive doctor of the musical arts can enjoy VITJA as much as the simple minded pit fighter. At least their 2013 debut ‘Echoes’ has enough food for both species of fans for them to highlight VITJA’s gig at SUMMER BREEZE 2015 in their personal running order.
