Festival ABC

ARRIVAL / DEPARTURE – PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

SUMMER BREEZE TAKES PLACE IN DINKELSBÜHL.
More precisely: in Sinbronn (a district of the large district town of Dinkelsbühl in the district of Ansbach (Middle Franconia, Bavaria)).

Here you’ll find information on the following travel options

  • Getting there and back via public transportation and special routes
  • Shuttle buses between the festival grounds and Dinkelsbühl
  • Bus transfers
  • Recommended airports

Traveling to and from the festival by train

All special trains going directly to the festival grounds are listed on BAHN.DE.

We strongly recommend traveling via the Ellwangen train station, as we have significantly expanded our services there.

Our recommendations by origin:

  • From Stuttgart/Ulm/North Rhine-Westphalia/Switzerland: Via Ellwangen.
  • From Nuremberg/Würzburg/Berlin: Via Ansbach or Dombühl.
  • From Augsburg/Munich/Regensburg: Via Nördlingen.
  • From Stuttgart/Heilbronn: Via Crailsheim.

Important information for searching for connections on bahn.de:
Arrival: Enter “SUMMER BREEZE Eingang, Dinkelsbühl” as your destination (Click here to go to the train portal with the destination already entered)
Departure: Enter “Dinkelsbühl Schiesswasen” as the starting point (Click here to go to the train portal with the starting point already entered)

Special Buses (Direct to the Venue)

Our special buses will take you directly to the main entrance and the VIP check-in without any transfers.

Ellwangen (Recommended): Coordinated with the fast RE1 trains (Karlsruhe–Stuttgart–Aalen–Ellwangen). The RE1 is 25 minutes faster than the regular regional train.
Price: €8 (one-way) / €15 (round-trip).

Ansbach: On the main arrival day (Tuesday), there are three additional departures.
Price: €10 (one-way) / €19 (round-trip).

Fare note: The Deutschlandticket (D-Ticket) and other regional transport association tickets are not valid on the special buses, as these are financed solely by fare revenue. The D-Ticket is valid on regular scheduled buses (e.g., to Dombühl), but no additional buses are provided there (“if full, then full”).
